In this activity, we carried out an enjoyable and thought-provoking study with our students to help them recognize bullying, understand its effects on children, and develop solutions. First, we read short stories about different types of bullying and discussed how the characters might feel.
Then, using the Six Thinking Hats technique, students looked at the situations from different perspectives. They showed empathy, suggested solutions, shared creative ideas, and thought together about what to do when bullying occurs.
At the end of the activity, students wore their chosen hats and recorded short videos. In these videos, they expressed their feelings and answered the question, “What should we do when bullying happens?” in their own words.
Through this activity, students realized once again the importance of not staying silent against bullying, supporting their friends, and creating a safe school environment.
